Retired a legacy Citrix MDM platform and led deployment of a new AirWatch environment across North America — the first time I built a device program instead of just operating one. Partnered with finance to right-size wireless accounts and cut phone-order turnaround from two weeks to a single day.

CVS Health / Aetna 2018–2021

Mobilizing a nationwide pandemic response

4 carriers, 1 vendor Nationwide

Led device deployment strategy for CVS Health's COVID-19 response, coordinating cellular device rollout across the country under real time pressure. Also managed carrier consolidation through the Aetna–CVS wireless merger, hunting down synergy savings across four carriers.

Own administration of a global enterprise MDM environment — Workspace ONE (AirWatch), SOTI MobiControl, and Esper — supporting 150+ concurrent clinical trial studies and more than 30,000 iOS and Android devices, each with its own configuration and compliance requirements. Zero-touch enrollment via Apple Business Manager and ADE, global cellular logistics, KPI/SLA-driven vendor management, and audit readiness in a regulated environment. Built API integrations that sync each device's shipped-to site, app versions, and status into Salesforce, giving the helpdesk real-time answers without paging me.

It powers on, checks in with Apple Business Manager or Android's zero-touch program, and claims its MDM profile with zero taps.

3Configure

Workspace ONE, SOTI MobiControl, or Esper pushes the apps, Wi-Fi, and security policy that specific study requires.

4Verify

Compliance and configuration are checked against the study's requirements before the device is marked active.

5Stay visible

Status, app versions, and shipped-to site sync automatically into Salesforce, so the helpdesk has current answers without paging me.

The satisfaction is in the device nobody has to think about

I got into this work the unglamorous way — imaging Windows 7 laptops and helping retire an old phone system as an IT intern. What's kept me in mobile device management for over a decade is a specific kind of satisfaction: a new phone that's already enrolled and configured the moment someone opens the box, a clinical trial site on another continent that never has to think twice about which carrier it's on.

Somewhere between a wireless-procurement desk at CVS Health and a global MDM console at Medable, I started caring less about administering a fleet day to day and more about designing the program underneath it — the enrollment flow, the vendor relationships, the KPI that tells you something's drifting before a device goes dark. I'm happiest turning a pile of manual device setup into something that just works, correctly, the first time, wherever in the world it needs to.
